This past year...

In December of 2021, I decided that I needed to take a step back from AST and focus on my family, being a better wife and a better mom. That meant closing my website and packing up my craft room for an undecided amount of time. It took me a couple of months to realize my mental health was the problem and not just my business. I'm able to look back now and see why God needed to me shut the door, well crack it maybe, because of the plans he had for our story this year.

We lost Stu's mom in April and then suddenly lost my dad less than 4 months later in August. My grandma then passed away in December, leaving me even more heartbroken and confused on what our future would hold. My positive take on this all was that this past year allowed us to spend more time together as a family of 5, but also with our immediate families during these times of absolute heart break.

I've spent the last year now promoting for a new passion I've found in mental health. I started using CBD to help with my anxiety, ppd and all of the other feelings that come along with being a mom in this stage of life. I felt better and knew I had to share with friends and family about this business, so I joined Green Compass in March of 2022. These products and business have truly been a blessing to our family this past year and I know God's plan for my life is right where it's supposed to be!

Our History

During the summer of 2009, Jessica started working at a small boutique located in Ballentine, SC. On slow days, she would bring in picture frames and canvases to paint while she didn't have customers. After posting a few pictures on facebook, some of her friends and sorority sisters started to buy things that she had made, and this led to her starting her own business, A Southern Touch.

Flash forward to 2013.  Jessica expanded into other personalized items and jewelry. Since most items are hand made or hand painted, they can not be duplicated exactly like you see on line, but close to. This gives you an opportunity to personalize and get creative yourself!

You can stay up to date on A Southern Touch items for sale or personal designs on Instagram at @ASouthernTouchSC.
